LEAD INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER

Reading Tree is my first project as a design lead. The project started as part of an interior furniture piece for a preschool in Shanghai. After he setup, we look to push the design further and plan to market it as an RTA furniture kit. The kit can be used as a standalone, double, or quadruple configuration.
In this project, the design director stated that he simply threw me into the water and watched to see if I swam or drowned. He later told me that I was definitely swimming through it.

Ideation Phase

After success innstallment, we further expand the design and developo it into a RTA furniture kit.

Final Design
The tree can be used as a single corner unit, a double wall mount unit, or a guadraple floor mount centerpiece.

Post Production
The Assembly instruction is really challenging for us. It is the first time we offer combinable and modular furniture piece this large.
