Mighty is an exercise app for people over the age of 50. According to preliminary research, the setup process contains many redundant questions, and the main menu is confusing. Interviews and co-creation sessions are held, and the setup process is reduced from 34 to 14. The main page has also been redesigned to be more organized and user-friendly.

EXPLORATION PHASE
Due to my interest in the lives of older adults, I start with persona. Then I research for various exercise apps that fit with the persona.
INITIAL RESEARCH
Mighty pique my interest as it is marketed mainly for the 50+ population. Research on application review is conducted and initial pain points are navigations, bills management, and set-up survey.

INTERVIEW
Run-through interviews is conducted with two user from the target group. And one semi-structured interview with a doctor to determine necessary of the information during the set up phase.

CO-CREATION
IDEATION
Three flows are chosen to participate in a co-creation workshop with three designers. Each identifies different pain points and converts them into HMW opportunities.

CO-CREATION
VALIDATION
We then mapped each HMW opportunity into a value map to determine which areas needed redesigning first. The process of setting up is determined to be the most important.

CO-CREATION
CONCEPT SKETCH
Each participant ten sketch our various idea to improve the existing set-up flow.

PROTOTYPE
The end result is a prototype app with 14 set-up steps (from 34). The reduction is accomplished by condensing important questions and removal of redundant information and ambiguous questions.
The main menu has been updated to provide a clearer view of the day and week schedules, with the elderly population in mind.
The landing page and community notification are also briefly investigated and will be researched further if the opportunity arises.
